Overview
Ensuring that all of your organization’s z/OS system software is current, and that any fixes and improvements have been applied, is paramount to maintaining system availability. This course looks at the SMP/E software and how it is used by the z/OS Systems Programmer to provide best practice installation, management and reporting of z/OS system software.
Audience
Although designed for IT technical personnel responsible for installing and managing z/OS system software, this course is also an excellent introduction for management and operations staff, explaining the z/OS system software installation process and the role that SMP/E plays.
Prerequisites
Completion of the following courses: IBM (z/OS) – Introduction to the IBM Enterprise Environment, z/OS – Concepts and Components or equivalent knowledge.
